What’s it all about?
We’ll take the first half of the hour to slow down with some soft, deep breathing followed by warming up with some gentle, simple movement. We’ll then spend the second half in meditation.
I don’t think I have the time…
You are welcome to join us and leave us at any point in the hour – we only ask that you do so as quietly as a beach full of pebbles will allow! If you can’t commit to an hour, no problem. Come along and join in with however long you have got.
But I don’t know how…
You don’t need to have meditated before. I’ll lead everyone into and out of the meditation and provide cues and reminders throughout. We’ll be exploring a few different techniques over the four weeks but don’t let that put you off! It’s really nothing more complicated than closing your eyes and taking a breath…
Group meditation can be a profound and powerful experience and set to the backdrop of such raw and glorious nature will only enhance this. At the very least it’s a chance in the day to gather as a community, stop, breathe a little deeper and take in some fresh sea air.
What do I need?
Bring something to sit on – whatever is going to allow you to be comfortable for a few minutes – blankets, pillows, beach chairs are all a good idea. Take a look at the weather as well and perhaps bring an extra layer to allow for the sea breeze!
These sessions will be by donation only. Pay what you can.
